The Emergency Department at EvergreenHealth Monroe has gone through a major transformation! Funds raised for this project allowed us to replace the floors, paint the walls, purchase "Hush Curtains" providing more privacy, add a nursing station, and much more!
The Lucas Compression Device is designed to deliver uninterrupted chest compressions at a constant rate and depth during life threatening rescues. With funds raised from the community, EHM was able to purchase this system which has already been used in multiple situations!
In 2021 EvergreenHealth Monroe opened a 4-unit PCU, allowing patients who needed higher level of care to stay closer to home. More often than not, the PCU was running at full or near full capacity. In 2023, the hospital decided we needed to expand to PCU to an 8-bed unit, which was made possible my community donations!
