About the Beneficiary

The 2023 Gala will benefit the expansion of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at EvergreenHealth Monroe! The PCU is a unit in the hospital that serves patients who are not well enough to be on the regular hospital floor but are a step down from needing the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). EvergreenHealth Monroe currently operates a busy four bed PCU that is typically near or at full capacity since its opening in 2022. To better serve the community, the funds raised from this years Gala will be used to convert four inpatient rooms into PCU rooms. Each PCU room requires specific modifications to meet the needs of higher acuity patients with negative airflow, 24/7 monitoring, additional oxygen, as well as other requirements.

Through your generosity we will invest in expanding the PCU with four additional rooms, providing more accommodations for those with higher acuity care, while keeping them close to home.
